I’m Matthew Royston, author of The Bold Brit. Let me introduce myself just a little so that we can get better acquainted.
I’m 32 years old, I’ve been married 10-years and I am the father of five dual-national children.
I was born and raised in Bristol, England, but moved to the United States in 2013 after meeting my amazing wife Cassandra (She’s from Idaho).
I graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho in 2019 with a bachelors in communication, and spent 2-years teaching theology in Utah.
I enjoy walking. The Lake District in north-west England is probably my favorite place to walk.
From 2020-22 I had the opportunity to renovate an entire house in Utah. The market was insane and we made enough money to buy a home in West Virginia without any financing. It feels great to own a home!
As a family and couple, we have enjoyed exploring countries, national parks, and the state we live. Some of our favorite places have included Zion National Park, Iceland, Carcassonne, Brugge, Rome, and the Brecon Beacons in South Wales.
I am a Christian, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I enjoy architecture and design. I appreciate well designed structures and rooms.
History interests me, particularly medieval history. Whenever we are back in Britain, I always enjoy visiting the many castles. Raglan, Chepstow, and Caerphilly castle are some of my favorites.
I am not an avid watcher of sports, but I do make a big deal every four years when the football World Cup occurs. Sadly I’m still waiting to watch England win!
Feel free to reach me by email, I try to reply to every email I receive.
All the best,
